Recent discoveries have shown that cocaine accelerates the production of HIV cells in the body.
You know that drugs aren't really good for you, or you wouldn't have to hide
the truth about how much you use.

Okay, so you've been living the fast life, partying as much as possible, getting laid
anonymously left and right... it's been a wild ride, and chances are that's why you're poz today. Being HIV-positive doesn't
mean putting an end to your sex life. But it should mean putting an end to the party life.
Most, if not all, street drugs (party drugs) cause your immune system to go limp while
you're using them. While you can't get HIV again, you can open yourself up to various
strains of the virus as well as any number
of opportunistic diseases your immune system would normally fight. Why give those diseases
a leg up?
HARDER DRUGS:
Cocaine is now known to accelerate the production of HIV cells in the body. Crystal Meth
causes potentially irrepairable brain damage. GHB could kill you just from doing too much. The
harmful effects of Ecstasy are still being studied, but it's a fair bet it doesn't
do anything to promote wellness. It is best to quit these drugs now, and without looking
back.
LESS HARD:
Poppers have long been linked in progressing HIV to AIDS, and to fueling various cancers
including KS (Kaposi's Sarcoma). Alcohol and marijuana are depressants and also
immune-system suppressants. Remember, alcohol also can ruin your liver, and
if your body isn't fighting back, the damage can happen quickly. It is best
to use these types of drugs in moderation.
Your best bet is to try to put your partying past behind you. If you're used to having sex
while high on party drugs, try having sex sober. Remember, whatever you can do sexually while
on drugs can be done without them. Stop using drugs as a crutch. You might even amaze yourself!
If you haven't already gotten into the "habit" of using party drugs,
now is definitely not the time to start.
Be strong. You'll live a longer and happier life!

quitting the habit.
